Directions

If you are flying into Boston or New York:

You will need to take an Amtrak train to New London, CT - visit www.amtrak.com

  • From Boston, this will involve getting a shuttle or cab to South Station. From there it is about a 3-hour train ride to New London, CT.
  • From New York, this will involve getting a shuttle or cab to Penn Station. From there, it is about a 3-hour train ride to New London, CT

When you get off the train the Ferry Dock is directly behind the Amtrak station. You will see a sign for the Fishers Island Ferry Dock.

If you are driving to Fishers Island

From Boston and points north:

  • Take I-95 south to exit 84S, Downtown New London
  • Exit will put you on Eugene O'Neil Drive
  • Follow the signs to the Transportation Center (bus and RR station)
  • Turn left onto State Street
  • Go straight across the train tracks to the Fishers Island Ferry Dock

From New York and points south:

  • Take I-95 north to exit 83, Downtown New London
  • Exit will put you on Huntington Street
  • Follow signs to Transportation Center (bus and RR station)
  • Turn left onto State Street
  • Go straight across the tracks to the Fishers Island Ferry Dock

The Fishers Island Ferry schedule is available at www.fiferry.com. If you are driving, you must arrive at the ferry at least 25 minutes prior to departure. During the peak schedule, a reservation for vehicles is recommended. Upon arrival to the ferry dock, go to the brick building to purchase your tickets. Once you are on the boat, get comfy. It is about a 45-minute trip. If you do not have a vehicle, we will make arrangements to have you picked up.
